滑る
slide
表面に触れたまま滑らかに滑る意味です。つまり、滑るように動くことです。
・slide across the ice (氷上を滑って渡る)
・slide down the slope (斜面を滑りおりる)
He tried to slide into third base.
（彼は三塁ベースに滑り込もうとした。）
slip
ツルツルした表面などで滑るという意味です。つまり、安定を失うことです。
・slip on a wet floor (濡れた床で足を滑らせる)
・slip on a rock (岩の上で滑る)
She slipped on the icy street.
（彼女は凍結した道で足を滑らせた。）
