byのイメージは近接で捉えることができます。

前置詞はイメージで捉えることで理解がグッと深まるものです。

　熟語を丸々暗記するよりも動詞の意味と前置詞のイメージで意味を理解することがずっと簡単になります。これまでの暗記英語とおさらばするためにも前置詞をイメージで捉える癖をつけていきましょう。
　今回はそんな前置詞の中からbyを取り上げます。以下の例文を近接でとらえましょう。

The girl standing by the door is Rose.

Did you come by the entrance D ?

I go to school by bus.

This book was written by Hemingway.
