【掃除する】

〜をきれいにする、〜を掃除するはcleanで表せますが、掃除の方法によってより具体的な内容を表す動詞を使うことができます。

sweep
掃き掃除をする
I've just swept the kitchen floor.　sweep-swept-swept
（ちょうどキッチンを掃き終えたところです。）

wipe
拭き掃除をする
Could you wipe the table for me?
（テーブルを拭いてくれる？）

mop
モップがけをする
Can you mop up the milk you've spilled?
（こぼしたミルクを拭いてくれる？）

dust
ホコリをはらう
Did you dust the living room?
（リビングを掃除したの？）
